Comment : This Norwegian three-master began her career with the Norwegian Merchant Naval Academy. After being seized by Germany in 1940, she was converted into a prison. She was scuttled under mysterious conditions during the war, before being refloated by the German authorities and used to quarter submarine crews. After being fitted out again in 1947, she resumed her functions as a training ship until 1973 when the navy decided to get rid of her. Bought by a sponsor who gave here to the City Hall of Kristiansand in 1977, she now takes on board on cadets from countries all around the world.
