Comment : This three-masted bark, christened with the name of a former Norwegian minister, was built in Germany into 1914 before being seized by the English after the first World War, and bought by Norway in 1923. Requisitioned by Germany during the Second World War, she was repatriated to Norway in 1946 when she started here civilian career as a training ship. After being laid up in 1960, she was saved by a Norwegian shipowner who restored her and set her to sail.
