Créoula

Créoula is a four-masted schooner that was used in the cod fishing campaigns in Newfoundland.

Launched in 1937, it was built by CUF shipyards in record time: 62 working days. Créoula ran 37 fishing expeditions achieving sometimes nearly 36 tonnes of fish in a single day.

In 1978, Créoula was bought by the Portuguese Secretary of State for Fisheries to become a fishing museum. Finally, it was converted into a training ship for the Portuguese Navy. The ship has 3 cabins for apprentices: 2 cabins of 21 places and 1 cabin of 9 places.
